
Once again powered by a 12 volt power supply, or car battery, this little beauty provided me with many happy hours of listening, and in some cases some quite good DX.

In between watching John Craven's Newsround, and Grange Hill, I could be heard chatting with "Bill on the Hill", and "Fuschia Man" without all the bleedover!

The RF gain on these radios was in a league of its own, with the ability to drop a local signal back to nothing but white noise!!

Some weekends, the channels were so busy, I'd have to switch the radio off for a bit, and watch The Multi Coloured Swap Shop on TV, or play with my Rubik's Cube for a while....

For the technicians amongst you, there is a schematic diagram here, where you can see which component went where! If you were not so good at repairs, and it was under guarantee, you could send it back.

Another radio almost identical to the Audioline 341, was the Uniden Uniace 200.

fantastic radio a big improvement on the 340 i tried many times to get mine converted to 80 channel however for some reason no rig doctor would touch them, getting one already converted never seemed to happen can anyone shed any light on this??? i know piggybacking was illegal but it didnt stop people getting cybernet rigs done
