Benny from Bergen in Norway....

"I was listening on the CB radio one day when the foreigners were coming in loud and clear, when a clear voice called CQ saying they were looking for stations in the UK.

After several calls, with no reply, they gave their name and QTH as "Benny" from Bergen in Norway. Suddenly [name withheld], and [name withheld] called "Benny", and got most excited when he came back to them.

"Benny" gave the first Swindon station [name withheld] his/her signal report, as well as a brief run down on his working conditions, and then proceeded to call the other Swindon station [name withheld] and gave him/her a similar report.
.
The two Swindon stations then must have gone around the channels telling others of their good fortune...as there was a few more people that came in for a chat with "Benny" before the conditions changed and "Benny" could be heard no more......"
