Fund Raising

Every once in a while, there was a Sponsored DX, or Table Sale in the area, to raise money for worthy causes.

Members of all the clubs far and wide would come to help out, even just to help sell Jumble, set up antennas, or even just for moral support. The common goal, whichever group you belonged to, was to raise money for charity.

There were obviously the regular local club members, who organised things, but there were lots of others who came along just to socialise and offer support, perhaps in the way of flasks of coffee, or some sandwiches, some crisps, and a cake or two!
