The Hackpen White Horse Club was [according to the card above] formed in 1986.

The group would meet every month at the Broad Hinton Village Hall, where the club would have a social meeting, with the odd theme here and there. Horse race night, DF hunt, Quiz night, Burns night, as well as setting the odd aerial up occasionally.

I remember one of the members Flash Gordon-Gordon, performing a haircut for Black Knight-Mike which I believe was for a charity!
One of the founder members was believed to be Candy Moon-Roy, who is sadly no longer with us. He was also a member of the group that met there previously; the Tango Tango Oscar Group [sadly limited information available]
The group used PO Box 927 in Swindon for all DX correspondence , and some of the members used to organise communications for the Sarsen Trail Sponsored Walk along the Wiltshire Ridgeways. The Club also raised money for worthy causes in the way of a Sponsored DX. The burns unit at the Odstock Hospital was just one of many.
The number of members gradually declined, and in around 2004, eventually ceased to meet at the village hall in Broad Hinton. There is an old link to the site [which I believe still works] However I am unable to offer validity of the link or indeed the content on the site.
