The hot air ballonist....

Jonnie Rotten-Jon remembers when he was a young lad, a rather distressed voice called out on the channel he was using.

When Jon asked what the problem was, the shaky voice replied that he was in a hot air balloon, and was losing height rapidly.

He went on to describe the local area with incredible detail.
.
To the amazement of Jonnie Rotten, he even described with amazing clarity, the type of antenna that Jon was using, and that he was heading ever more slowly towards it!

I can't describe my frantic running around the house, and back to the radio to tell this person that he should avoid the area , as there were some VERY high voltage power lines that ran across the garden!!

Only when there were fits of giggles in the background of the frantic transmissions of the air balloon "pilot" did Jon realise he had been well and truly wound up!

I never did find out who the "pilot" was, or the background gigglers on the transmissions...but if you are reading this....well done, and to this day, some 25 years on, it still brings a smile to my face.......
