This superb example of a NATO 2000 was shown to me recently, and the owner kindly allowed me to take a picture of it and exhibit it here.
The NATO 2000 was, I'm sure, for some of us, the first multimode we ever owned.
Covering 26.065-28.305 MHz in standard form, with AM/FM/USB/LSB/CW, used in conjunction with this, I am sure it provided many of you with lots of contacts worldwide.
I am told the power output was 4W on AM/FM and 12W SSB.
The funny thing about this radio, was the 27/81 marking on the front right corner of the radio.......as if Buzby would see it and think it was all OK!!
Thank you to the owner for allowing me to take a picture of it and show it on here!!
