The Sirio Boomerang was popular with people who wanted to erect an antenna on their balcony without too much trouble, and enabled you to have a low profile antenna system.
Once carefully adjusted, these antennas could give reasonable performance on a budget, and would allow your signal to be sent out into the atmosphere!
With gain figures similar to that of a glass of orange squash, these antennas would allow you to be heard on CB at the other end of your street!! If conditions were really good, you could be heard several hundred yards away!

Hi Jon.
I have to disagree with the above statement about orange squash!
I can get a good 5 and 9 into my digital watch with it held right by the antenna, and the orange squash had no result at all, apart from it tasted pretty good.
Cracking site Jon, keep it up.
All the best

I used to use one of these for DXing! And got better results than some people using larger antenna's and beams, I remember talking to an Alpha Tango director in Iceland and my director didn't manage to contact him even though he was using a YAGI beam and loads more power, LOL, these were fantasic little antenna's.
