Spitfire-Martin remembers.....

I was a keen cb'er from November 1981 up to this day and now tend to use amateur radio.... but its not as much fun as I had in the early days on CB.
At 10 years old I remember asking my dad if I could have a CB. He bought me an amstrad 901 and 18ft orbiter base aerial... and the rest is history.
My Handle was taken from the love of building airfix kits and as I had just finished building a Spitfire, I chose this as my handle.
My qth was on top of the Severn valley just outside Bridgnorth.
The main cb clubs in my area were the Tango Sierra Club in Telford later becoming the Tango Foxtrot club run by Terry Big T. We used to meet at Brosely social club. I have many badges and hundreds of qsl cards even one from Ivor the Ace Pilot! So next time I'm in the loft, I will dig them out.
I used to be on with Ivor most mornings before I went to school, so I am sure some of you may remember Ivor saying to some of his stations "Give Spitfire Mr Martin a shout from Bridgnorth up there in Shropshire"
