Thunderbird II-Del

Picture courtesy of Finch-Roger from Wootton Bassett

This is a very rare photograph of the legendary Thunderbird II-Del from Swindon, Wiltshire.

Del was always buying and selling radios in and around the Swindon area during the early years of the CB explosion in the early '80's.

I have not been informed when this picture was taken, but judging by the top lip sporting the "MACHO" cookie duster, one can possibly assume it was around his mid teenage years!!

Thunderbird II can still be heard on the airwaves occasionally, talking to his better looking brother Roger, about his on line gaming that he partakes in.

He was also a member of the Delta Tango International DX Group, and if you ever hear him on air using the 26DT callsign, there will probably be someone the other end who is far far away!!

We use the term very rare in the opening sentence, because I am reliably informed it was most unusual to find Del WITHOUT on open CB radio, and a screwdriver in his hand!!
