Here is a nice example of a 27/81 40 Channel FM radio, the Transcom GBX 4000. It had the usual Volume, Squelch, Tone, and RF Gain rotary controls, along with a PA/CB switch, and a Mon/Off switch [which I assume to be a CH 9 switch?]
