This Centre loaded antenna cost £11.95 in 1985, and was popular with the DX brigade.
People read magazines like Citizens' Band and were told how the antenna "sees" a bigger horizon, and could therefore "get out" further....Oh really!!

Top loaded was considered the best, and if you purchased a top loaded Valor antenna, you got an information sheet with it.

Easily capable of handling 200 watts [apparently!] this antenna took pride of place on many a Mini, and allowed many "Breakers" the chance to take part in "Link ups" at the weekends perched on local high spots, whilst sharing around a Watney's Party Seven!
